Meet Jason Garrett, Life of the Party. Based on his press conferences and play calling over the last few years, I’d always assumed he was the kind of person who wore a simple “Synergy” t-shirt to bed and worried about executing in all three phases during trips to the grocery store. But ever since he won a training camp passing competition designed to overturn his own curfew, it’s like he’s been acting out a bit. I mean, fake punts from his own twenty-seven yard line? Going for it on fourth and one in overtime? Getting his face scraped up in a touchdown celebration? Who is this guy? Part of this might be the confidence that he feels in his offensive line – if I had Zack Martin following me around (or even sitting in on conference calls), I’d be a lot bolder, too.
